- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3-4 drops red food coloring
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
- 1 qt. strawberries, washed and stemmed
In a pan mix water, sugar, cornstarch, salt and food coloring. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened. Remove from heat, let cool, fold in berries, pour into pie shell. Top with whipped topping and serve.
