
Stewed Tomatoes
Serves 4
- 4 or 5 medium tomatoes, peeled
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 2 slices white bread
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
Cook tomatoes and onions until almost tender. Add remaining ingredients. Heat, but don’t boil. Simmer for a short time.
