Serves 6

  • 5 or 6 turnips, peeled
  • 2 small potatoes, peeled
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup half & half

Cut up turnips and potatoes and cook until tender. Drain and mash. Add other ingredients and simmer for a short time. Sprinkle pepper on top.
